• Lex could not believe what he saw. Lucy was on the bed, shaking with agony and wailing loudly. As he grappled with his emotions, Prince Alfred's voice snapped him out of his daze. Lex turned toward the prince and with a deathly glare, moved towards him and threw a heavy punch at Prince Alfred's jaw. The prince grunted, landed on the ground, spit out the blood, and laid down, knowing he could not beat Lex.
• As Lex crouched down and grabbed the prince by the neck, ready to throw another punch, Lucy's cries stopped him in his tracks. He moved towards Lucy, trying to hold her, but she wailed loudly and moved back in fear. "Lucy, it's me, Lex," he muttered calmly.
• "Lex," Lucy meekly called out.
